Privacy Policy

Effective 7 October 2026. This policy explains what personal information sambal.work (operated by Sambal Unified Services Pvt. Ltd., "we", "us") collects through this website and WhatsApp, why, and the choices and rights you have, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA).

1. Information we collect

When you fill in a form on this site (business enquiry, partner enquiry, investor introduction, jobseeker registration, job posting, or general contact) we collect what you choose to share, which may include your name, organisation, designation, work email, mobile number, city, workforce size or skill, job details, and any message you write. Some forms let you upload a file if you wish: a resume, CV or bio data (jobseeker registration) or a job description (job posting and business enquiry). Uploading is always optional. A resume or bio data file may contain personal details you chose to put in it, such as your address, date of birth, education and work history. Please do not include Aadhaar or other ID numbers or bank details in any file. If you contact us on WhatsApp, we also keep the messages we exchange with you.

We also automatically note the page you submitted from, the language you were browsing in, the site that referred you, and any campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and similar) attached to your visit. When you submit a form we record your consent: the wording version of this policy that applied and the date and time of submission. We do not ask for or store payment details, government ID numbers or sensitive personal data through this site.

2. How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry, demo request, job application or partnership interest.
  • To match jobseekers to suitable openings and notify them on WhatsApp.
  • To understand which pages and campaigns bring genuine interest, so we can improve the site.
  • To meet our own legal, accounting and compliance obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to the above without asking you first.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers (processors) who help us run this site and respond to you, and only to the extent needed for that purpose. They act on our instructions. They are:

  • Airtable (Airtable, USA), where form submissions and job listings are stored and managed by our team.
  • Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA), which hosts this website and runs the forms.
  • Zoho Mail (Zoho Corporation), which delivers each form submission to our team by email.
  • WhatsApp Business (Meta), where you and we exchange messages if you contact us there.
  • An automation tool, if we have switched one on, that forwards the same enquiry to our team.

Some of these providers store or process data on servers outside India, including in the United States. The DPDPA permits this except to countries the Government of India may restrict. We may also disclose information where required by law or a valid government or judicial request.

4. Consent and how to withdraw it

Each form on this site tells you that, by submitting it, you agree that we may use your details as described in this policy. You must be 18 or older to submit a form. If we message you on WhatsApp, you can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. You can also withdraw your consent at any time by writing to alok@sambal.work. Withdrawing consent does not affect our use of your details before you withdrew, and we will stop using them for the purposes you withdrew from, unless the law requires us to keep them.

5. Cookies and local storage

This site uses your browser's local storage (not third-party cookies) to remember your chosen display language and, briefly, campaign parameters from your first visit. This data stays on your device and is not linked to an identity unless you go on to submit a form.

6. How long we keep it

  • Business, partner, investor and contact enquiries, and job postings: up to 24 months after our last contact with you.
  • Jobseeker registrations: until you ask us to delete them, or after 12 months without any activity from you.
  • Email copies of form submissions: up to 24 months.
  • Uploaded files (resume, CV, bio data, job description): kept with the registration or enquiry they came with, for the same period as above, and deleted with it.

After these periods your details are deleted or anonymised, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see your rights below).

7. Your rights

As a Data Principal under the DPDPA, you can ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with, correct or update it, erase it, or withdraw any consent you have given. You can also nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity. To make a request, email alok@sambal.work from the address or phone number you used when you contacted us, or tell us enough for us to confirm it is you, and say which right you want to use. We aim to respond within 30 days.

8. Security and incidents

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you share with us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and notify the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.

9. Third-party links

This site links to WhatsApp and, on some pages, to third-party services. Once you leave sambal.work, that service's own privacy policy applies — we are not responsible for their practices.

10. Not directed at minors

sambal.work's services are intended for adults aged 18 or older who are legally eligible to work under applicable Indian labour law. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us their details, write to us and we will delete them.
